What is the NOD online training all about?

The NOD program has been designed to up-skill healthcare professionals with additional knowledge on the basics of diabetes management as well as health coaching.

According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), there were 537 millions of people living with diabetes in 2021. This number is projected to reach 634 million by 2030, and 784 million by 2045. In Malaysia, the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) estimated that nearly 2 millions of adults had been diagnosed with diabetes in 2019. More skilled healthcare professionals are and will be needed to address this growing concern.

The vision of the NOD program is to provide this much needed training from the comfort of your own home, accessible with any device and at a time that is convenient to you.

The NOD platform offers two online courses.

These include:

  • Basics of diabetes management course
  • Health coaching course

*IDF Diabetes Atlas 10th Edition (2021). Available at http://www.diabetesatlas.org/ National Health and Morbidity Survey 2019. Available at http://www.iku.gov.my/nhms/ Accessed August 2023.
